Since it was formed in Italy in 2009, imPerfect Dancers Company has taken the contemporary dance scene by storm, winning rave reviews and prestigious awards.
Under the artistic direction of its founders, Walter Matteini and Ina Broeckx, the company has proved tirelessly creative as it evolves, expanding its repertoire and delighting audiences with its sensitive and compelling performances and bold, often courageous, artistic choices. In doing so, it has gained international recognition, securing its rightful place in the artistic landscape.
imPerfect Dancers Company has taken its repertoire on tour, with performances in North America (Canada and the USA), South America (Colombia, Brazil and Uruguay), Africa (Tanzania), Asia (Israel and Turkey) and, not least, Europe (Croatia, Spain, Macedonia, Armenia, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Switzerland and the Netherlands).

Walter Matteini
Artistic Director and Choreographer
Walter Matteini (born 2 December 1972) graduated from the Accademia Nazionale di Danza in Rome, and went on to dance for some of the most renowned Italian and international companies including the Balletto di Roma, Le Ballet National de Marseille Roland Petit, Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, the Opéra National de Lyon and the Fondazione Nazionale della Danza - Compagnia Aterballetto. Some of the top names in contemporary dance with whom he has worked include Jirí Kylian, William Forsythe, Mats Ek, Ohad Naharin, Nacho Duato, Angelin Preljoçaj, Birgitte Cullberg, Claude Brumachon, Maguy Marin, Bill T Jones, Jacopo Godani and many others.

Ina Broeckx (born 2 June 1971), a native of Belgium, graduated from the Royal Ballet School, Antwerp (Belgium) and has danced with internationally renowned companies such as the Nederlands Dans Theater II, the Centre Chorégraphique National de Tours, Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, the Opéra National de Lyon and the Fondazione Nazionale della Danza - Compagnia Aterballetto. During her career, she has been fortunate enough to dance in works by world-famous choreographers, including Balanchine, Jirí Kilián, Hans Van Manen, Mats Ek, William Forsythe, Angelin Preljoçaj, Nacho Duato, Ohad Naharin, Paul Lightfoot, Itzik Galilli, Jacopo Godani, Maguy Marin, John Alleyne, Karole Armitage, Claude Brumachon and many Others.
